Tri-State Cinderella Pageant, Maryland, Delaware & New Jersey Pageant Systemby EJ on 10/11/13
I've been on the search for a good pageant system for my stage-obsessed
eight year old. More specifically, a pageant system that values public
speaking skills, pride in accomplishments and one that works to inspire
confidence in young women. While there are many pageant systems out
there that center on beauty and outward appearance - in my opinion, all
the wrong things to teach a girl - I recently discovered one that
promises to put the spotlight on all the right things.
The Cinderella pageants are a three-tiered system, which begin with preliminaries, which invite newcomers and novices to compete, then move to the State pageant and finally, the International Finals where scholarship awards have exceeded over $100,000 each year. On the State level, participants are eligible to win crowns, trophies, sashes and a cash scholarship award of $300.
Preliminaries are held throughout the year, beginning in September and lead up to the State Pageant in late spring. Venues are in different locations throughout Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. On November 10th, 2013, a preliminary pageant will be held in Aberdeen, Maryland at Pretty Girls Rock Salon & Spa for Young Girls. The fee for entry into any preliminary is $150. You can access the entry form by visiting www.cinderellapageantsde.com.
My eight year old and I will be checking out a preliminary soon and we're planning for an awesome day, new friendships and memories made.
