Round321 Shelve Tree Wall Decal Review, Monster Baby Days Blog Event

Hubby and I finally finished Monster # 5's bedroom walls, thanks to blog sponsor Round321, a company specializing in wall decals. Round 321 provided a handy dandy instruction sheet with a numbered image showing what the decal should look like on the wall. The various parts of the decal were labeled with numbers and letters to coordinate with the instructions. Round321 also supplied a plastic application for pressing the decal onto the wall and safely bagged the smaller decal pieces separately from the larger ones. They even supplied a test decal for practicing which we ended up working it into our design.

First, we used painter's tape to hold each separate piece in place temporarily so we could get the larger idea of where we wanted the tree trunk, various leaves and branches to go. This way, if we wanted to rearrange some things later before placing the pieces permanently, which was entirely possible with this particular decal, we could do so. In fact, we ended up using some of the tree decal branches and leaves elsewhere in the room to bring some more personality to other walls. The decal was certainly large enough to allow for some creativity, which I absolutely loved.

Once we temporarily placed the tree wall decal pieces throughout the room, we began pealing off the paper backings that sat against the wall. I pressed the plastic application tool slowly in the direction that we pulled the paper backing away, to push out air bubbles and keep the decal smooth and perfect on the wall. Once we had each piece snug on the wall, I went around and smoothed them some more, seeking out any elusive air bubbles. The leaves, with their points and smaller size, required some extra pressing to ensure they didn't tear. We only had one problem with a leaf tearing so we used a razor blade to cut that one leaf away from the decal.

About an hour into our wall decal adventure, we were finally able to peel off the top sheets of paper to expose the applied decals. Hubby and I were amazed at the room's complete transformation. Even though I knew the measurements of the decal ahead of time (Measurements in Inches : 90.2” L X 84.6” W (approx.), I didn't realize how expansive the possibilities were until we viewed our finished product on the wall.


The tree wall decal came with a Mommy and Baby owl. We placed Mama Owl decal in the tree and let Baby Owl decal fly on another wall. The whole process took about two hours and we really took our time to ensure a perfect look.
