MESS FEST at The Franklin Institute

The Franklin Institute hosts MESS FEST during the weekends of August 11-12 and August 18-19.  The renowned and innovative science museum invites you to watch grand-scale 'messy' demonstrations that show gravity, chemical reactions, physics, pressure and more in action. Demonstrations take place hourly between noon and 4 in the Atrium and outside the museum. Between each demonstration, visitors are welcome to get messy with hands-on activities.

Saturday & Sunday, August 11–12 & 18–19
12pm – 4pm, Free with museum admission.
 
Grand-scale science experiments at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm include:
·         Giant ball-Explosion
·         Gravity Drop
·         Epic Soap Bubble Monster
·         Enormous Elephant Toothpaste
 
Ongoing hands-on activities from 12pm – 4pm include:
·         Make (and take) your own Slime
·         Alka-Seltzer Rockets
·         Bubbles Galore
·         Walk on Oobleck
