KidZone at Adventure Aquarium, WIN 4 Tickets to Adventure Aquarium Giveaway

Kidzone is specifically designed
to appeal to kids six and under and invites little ones to get up close and
personal with the watery world. Every tank is at eye level for kids, so
parents can give their arms a break. Kidzone offers adventure for tikes with the
guidance of the Aquapals: Gill the shark, Lizzie the Hippo, Shelldon the sea
turtle and Bobbi the penguin.
My monsters jumped right
in, banging away on huge whale drums, strumming chords on chime walls and
hopping aboard a river boat. In the center of it all, a huge Banyan tree with a
trunk full of hanging foam cylinders for hiding, pushing and playing. 
We all took turns climbing
beneath a large aquarium tank and sticking our heads into a pop-up dome that
allowed us to view the fish all around us, as if we were there inside the tank.
It was especially neat to view the flashlight fish this way.
There were
many new tanks and terrariums to explore, all at the perfect height for the
kids.
Touch tanks offered us the
opportunity to feel the shells of blue spiny lobsters and horseshoe crabs. A
touch tank built to look like a tropical tidal pool included some of the most
amazing and beautiful shrimp called fire and coral banded shrimp. The kids
giggled as they pet and caressed a chocolate chip sea star that looked just like
a cookie and they oohed and aahed at the striking colors of the sea apples.
Kidzone was a very active place,
with kids running and exploring in every direction.
Kidzone was a great
place to work out all those remaining wiggles before we headed on over to the
Shark Realm, where things are a lot more calm and subdued. On the way, ML and
LT received a kiss from a hippo.
