Constitution Day Activities at National Constitution Center

The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, serving as the headquarters for the United States Constitution's 225th anniversary throughout 2012, will culminate festivities this September to honor Constitution Day. The U.S. Constitution was signed on September 17th, 1787.

Sept. 10 - 23: Constitution Hall Pass program for students across the country.

Sept. 13th: Liberty Medal Ceremony honoring Muhammad Ali.

Sept. 15th: Family Fair on the front lawn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Outdoor festivities will include educational programs, musical performances, colonial-era games, historic interpreters and more. At 1 p.m., the Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet at the Liberty Bell for a parade that will march to the Constitution Center.

Sept 16-23: Exciting lineup of Constitution Week events for all ages. All week long, visitors can visit an old-fashioned print shop inside the main lobby, complete with a replica printing press from the 1700s. Visitors can also participate in calligraphy demonstrations and sign a giant version of the U.S. Constitution.
