Bio
Joann, the creator of BittyKs Custom Sewing
& Embroidery, started sewing around 8 years old. Her grandmother allowed
her to pursue all the crafty projects she desired, every day. Her first project
on the sewing machine was a baby blanket for her new little sister. Soon enough
she was completing odd jobs left and right to save up money for her own sewing
machine.
She writes that, "The next events were my inspiration. After
becoming a registered dietitian, I headed straight for a job in pediatrics. I
was fortunate to find a career working with children who had Cystic Fibrosis.
These children need lots of calories, so we talked about snacking all the time.
Several years later, I also found myself packing tons of snacks for my daughter
who had multiple food allergies. A good friend said, 'You should look into
getting some reusable snack bags!' The creative juices were flowing and I was
inspired."
One year ago, Joann decided to stay at home full time with her
family and she opened her online story selling her own reusable snack bags
during that time.
